Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions before using our services.

1. Definitions

“We”, “Us”, “Our”, and “WBL-DEV” refer to Wilhelm Burger T/A WBL-DEV, the service provider of website design and development services described in these Terms & Conditions.

2. Overview

These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by WBL-DEV. By engaging Our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

3. Services

We design and develop WordPress websites using Elementor, including 1–5 page structured websites, mobile responsiveness, and basic SEO setup.

We also provide custom development services using CodeIgniter 4, API integrations, and MySQL database systems, subject to availability and separate quotation.

4. NO RISK Website Build

We offer a “NO RISK” website build model for standard WordPress websites. This applies to simple 1–5 page websites consisting of structured content, including text, images, and basic business information.

This includes brochure-style websites such as home, about, services, and contact pages, with standard functionality such as forms and social links.

The “NO RISK” model does not apply to websites requiring advanced or custom functionality, including but not limited to booking systems, eCommerce, membership systems, custom integrations, or database-driven features. Such projects require a separate quotation and upfront agreement.

Under the “NO RISK” model, We build your website → you review it → you only pay if you are satisfied.

If you choose not to proceed after the review phase, you are under no obligation to make payment, and no website files, designs, or assets will be transferred.

5. Project Process

All projects follow a structured workflow: We build → You review → You approve → Final handover. Clients may request reasonable changes during the review stage.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing all required content, including text, images, and business details. Delays in providing content may result in project delays.

7. Revisions

Reasonable revisions are included during the review stage. Additional changes outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.

8. Third-Party Services

Websites may use third-party tools, plugins, hosting providers, or services. We are not responsible for their performance, availability, pricing, or policies.

Hosting services are provided via third-party providers and may not be physically located in all advertised regions.

9. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any loss of revenue, business, data, or reputation resulting from website use, downtime, hosting issues, or external service failures.

10. Acceptance

By engaging Our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

12. Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on our website may be affiliate links, including but not limited to domain registration and hosting providers. This means We may earn a commission if you purchase through these links, at no extra cost to you.

We only recommend services we believe are reliable, but we are not responsible for third-party performance, support, pricing, or policies.

13. Monthly Retainer (Optional)

Clients may choose an optional monthly retainer for ongoing updates, maintenance, and website support. This ensures continued performance, security, and content updates after launch.

14. Maintenance & Support Services

We offer optional ongoing maintenance and support services for WordPress websites. These services are not included by default unless explicitly agreed upon.

Monthly Website Maintenance

All WordPress websites require ongoing maintenance to remain secure, stable, and compatible with updates.

  • WordPress core updates (security & performance)
  • Plugin updates and bug fixes
  • Theme updates
  • Basic stability checks

Failure to maintain a website may result in security vulnerabilities, compatibility issues, or website failure.

Monthly fee: R500 per website

WordPress Support (Hourly)

We provide ad-hoc WordPress support services without long-term contracts.

  • Fix WordPress errors and broken pages
  • Install and configure plugins
  • Update WordPress, plugins, and themes
  • Improve website speed and performance
  • Add or modify website pages and content

This service is suitable for resolving issues, making updates, or improving existing websites.

Hourly rate: R300 per hour

Minimum billing: 1 hour • No contracts

We are not responsible for issues caused by outdated plugins, themes, or systems where ongoing maintenance services have not been engaged.

All location-based pages represent service coverage areas for clients we can assist remotely across South Africa. We do not maintain physical offices in every listed location. Web hosting services are provided by a third-party provider and may not be physically located in all advertised regions. We and the third-party web hosting company can assist clients in these areas regardless of physical location.
